چکیده

We study the nonequilibrium response of a $4\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}3$ Hubbard model at $U=8$ under influence short electric field pulse, with main focus on multiple photon excitations and change double occupancy after pulse. The behavior mainly depends driving frequency field. largest occurs during For frequencies below Mott gap, we observe multiphoton large intensities. beyond gap energy, there is region where Auger recombination reduces Impact ionization (multiexciton generation), namely, growing for larger than twice gap. From Loschmidt amplitude, compute eigenstate spectrum quantum state observing distinct excitation peaks, in line expectations from quasiparticle picture. introduce technique which analyze time evolution each peak individually. long-term almost only absorbed explore connection this property to thermalization hypothesis.

Superconductivity in the two-dimensional Hubbard model.

A refined variational wave function for the two-dimensional repulsive Hubbard model is studied numerically , with the aim of approaching the difficult crossover regime of intermediate values of U. The issue of a superconducting ground state with d-wave symmetry is investigated for an average electron density n ≈ 0.8 and for U = 8t. Due to finite-size effects a clear-cut answer to this fundament...

Superconductivity and the pseudogap in the two-dimensional Hubbard model.

Recently developed numerical methods have enabled the explicit construction of the superconducting state of the Hubbard model of strongly correlated electrons in parameter regimes where the model also exhibits a pseudogap and a Mott insulating phase. d(x(2)-y(2)) symmetry superconductivity is found to occur in proximity to the Mott insulator, but separated from it by a pseudogapped nonsupercond...

Ferromagnetism and triplet superconductivity in the two-dimensional Hubbard model

We review magnetic and superconducting instabilities in the t-t Hubbard model on the two-dimensional square lattice as obtained with functional one-loop renormalization group techniques. Special emphasis is put on ferromagnetic and triplet superconducting tendencies that could be relevant to the triplet superconductor Sr2RuO4. The layered perovskite oxide Sr2RuO4 may become the first well-estab...

Magnetic and superconducting correlations in the two-dimensional Hubbard model

The interplay and competition of magnetic and superconducting correlations in the weakly interacting two-dimensional Hubbard Model is investigated by means of the functional renormalization group. At zero temperature the flow of interactions in one-loop approximation evolves into a strong coupling regime at low energy scales, signalling the possible onset of spontaneous symmetry breaking. This ...

Two-dimensional Hubbard model: Numerical simulation study.

We have studied the two-dimensional Hubbard model on a square lattice with nearest-neighbor hopping. We first discuss the properties of the model within the mean-field approximation: Because of the form of the band structure, some peculiar features are found. We then discuss the simulation algorithm used and compare simulation results with exact results for 6-site chains to test the reliability...
